Well it’s that time of year again for the IGFA Offshore World Championship which will run from the 13th - 18th May based out of Cabo San Lucas in beautiful Mexico. This year there are 53 competing teams from all around the world fishing and competing for one right, to be crowned world champions.
One of the competing teams from Australia which I am proud to be a part of which includes team members Matthew Wallace, John Dwyer, Adam Moore, Ash Warland and myself Ross Martin will be competing in this years Championship for our chance to be crowned champions in this prestigous event. Our team won the invitation to compete after our win in last years Sunshine Coast Game Fishing Club’s Classic.

A big one for all sports anglers – A Topwater lure prize category has now been included in this October's EdgeWater Power Boats Billfish Classic. This means there will be a big cash payout plus more prizes allocated to this niche popper and stickbait (only) casting section.

The Sunshine Coast Game Fishing Club is holding their No Frills Heavy Tackle Tournament again from the 13th to the 15th May. Start fishing is from 5pm on Friday the 13th and cease fishing is Sunday the 15th at 5pm. Vessels are not required to come home to their port or required to return to Kawana Waters Hotel for presentation, so you can camp out for a broad bill or a safe ancourage closer to the fishing grounds. Billfish only and open line class over 150m in water depth. Entry fee is $300 per boat with a cash pool prize with 60% 1st place, 20% 2nd place and 3rd place 10%.






April 30th - 2nd May the Sailfish Pro Series Finale will be held out of Miami Beach, Florida.
